What does custom fabrication cost?

Most projects fall somewhere between $60 and $2,500 — small laser-cut signage or engraved gifts live at the low end, larger production runs and multi-part assemblies climb higher. We give you a real line-item quote within 24 hours, not a guess. The starter ranges on our pricing page are useful as a sanity check, but the actual number depends on material, finish, quantity, and turnaround — so go ahead and request a quote for anything you're serious about.

How long does a project take from quote to delivery?

Most jobs complete within 3–7 business days after you approve the quote. Rush turnaround is available for an additional fee when the shop calendar allows. You'll get a heads-up the moment production wraps so you can plan pickup or expect the package — full timeline is laid out on our How It Works page.

What materials can you work with?

For laser cutting and engraving we routinely work in wood (plywood, hardwoods, MDF), acrylic, leather, paper and cardstock, slate, cork, fabric, and coated metals. For 3D printing we print PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, and resin. Not sure whether your material works? Send it through the quote form with what you have in mind and we'll tell you straight whether it's a fit — or recommend an alternative.

Do you handle finishing in-house, or do you outsource it?

Cutting, engraving, and 3D printing are all done in-house at our Plymouth Meeting studio so you get direct accountability on those steps. Secondary finishing — painting, staining, powder coating, anodizing, plating, hardware assembly — goes to a small set of trusted local partners we've worked with for years. We coordinate handoffs and quality-check every part before it ships, so you deal with one point of contact instead of three.

What kind of warranty or structural guarantee do you offer?

We don't wrap every job in a formal written warranty contract, but we absolutely stand behind our work. If a part fails because of a fabrication error on our end — a weak joint, a missed dimension, a material defect we shipped through — we'll repair or replace it at no charge. Structural integrity is checked before any order leaves the studio, and for load-bearing or installed pieces we'll talk through the design with you up front so the specs are right before anything gets cut.

Do you ship, or is this pickup-only?

Both. Local pickup at our Plymouth Meeting studio is free, and you're welcome to inspect your order on the way out — appointment only. For everyone else we ship anywhere in the continental US via USPS and UPS, most domestic orders arrive within 3–5 business days of leaving the shop. Freight and palletized shipping for larger commercial jobs is available too — just ask us to include it in the quote.

Can you take a project from sketch all the way to installation?

We handle design, fabrication, and assembly under one roof, so yes — if you arrive with a napkin sketch or just a written idea, we'll turn it into a production-ready file, prototype it, then fabricate the run. We don't do on-site installation ourselves, but for clients in Greater Philadelphia we coordinate closely with carpenters, contractors, and signage installers we trust to mount finished pieces cleanly. Send your idea through the quote form with any reference images, and prep your files using our file preparation guide if you're ready to upload.
